The Foo Fighters Rock!

Erik and I had a very late night last night. We went to see one of our favorite bands--the Foo Fighters! We saw them about a year and a half ago when they were on their acoustic tour but had never seen them perform in one of their regular concerts. It was a LOT of fun! I bought tickets for the concert (which was at the Forum in Inglewood) on Friday as a last minute surprise for Erik. We had talked about getting tickets before but were a little apprehensive about going since we have a five month old and knew it would be a late night. Erik's sister was able to babysit for us though and we weren't sure that we would ever have an opportunity to go again, so we wanted to take the chance when we could. Our tickets said that our view would be obstructed, so I was nervous that we would be behind the stage, but they were actually pretty good seats. We were to the right of the stage and were much closer to the band than the people at the far end of the stadium. It was crazy loud and there were a bunch of people there that I would not want to spend any time with apart from a concert (even then I didn't want to spend time with them), but I'd say we definitely got our money's worth. They are one band that sounds as good live as they sound on their CDs. We got home at about 12:30 this morning and had a cooing wake-up call from our daughter at 6:30, so I'm about ready to take a nap right now. Erik doesn't get one since he had to work. All in all it was the best concert I've ever been to. I've not been to very many, but even Erik thought it was one of the best and anyone who knows him, knows he's been to a lot of concerts.
